    Spärck AI Scholarship Programme 2026
    Manipulation and Touch Lab (MTL) The Manipulation and Touch Lab investigates manipulation in humans and robots, haptic sensing, haptic interfaces and machine learning. It is led by Dr. Ad Spiers featured in the orange top. Pcitured with the Instagrasp, a fully 3D printed and open-source adaptive robotic gripper. Dr Ad Spiers, Lecturer in Robotics and Machine Learning Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Ad is pictured with PhD Research Postgraduate Mr Xin Zhou is investigating the role of in-hand-manipulation in enhancing tactile sensing, with a view to helping robots better understand the objects they are interacting with.
