    BFN Black Career Advancement Program 2026

    The BFN Black Career Advancement Program 2026 is a 12-week career development and paid work-placement initiative designed to equip Black youth with in-demand digital and technology skills while providing real-world work experience with Black-led organisations.

    The BFN Black Career Advancement Program 2026 focuses on bridging the employment gap by combining structured training, mentorship, and hands-on placements in high-growth sectors.


    About the Programme

    The Black Career Advancement Program (BCAP) is delivered by the Black Founders Network (BFN) to support Black youth in building job-ready skills and transitioning into meaningful employment.

    Over the course of 12 weeks, participants receive professional training, career coaching, mentorship, and placement opportunities with Black-led businesses, enabling them to gain practical experience and strengthen their professional portfolios.


    Programme Duration & Commitment

    • Duration: 12 weeks
    • Weekly commitment: 10–15 hours
    • Format: Training combined with real work placement
    • Location: Canada (participants must be legally authorised to work in Canada)

    Available Career Tracks

    Participants can choose one of the following high-demand career tracks:

    • Software Development
    • Digital Marketing
    • UI/UX Design
    • Tech Sales

    Each track is designed to provide hands-on learning aligned with real industry needs.


    What Participants Will Gain

    Successful applicants will benefit from:

    • Practical, job-ready skills training
    • One-on-one mentorship from industry professionals
    • Real work placement with Black-led companies
    • Career coaching and professional development support
    • Portfolio-building project experience
    • Placement allowances during the programme

    Who Is Eligible to Apply

    To be eligible for the BFN Black Career Advancement Program 2026, applicants must:

    • Be between 18 and 35 years old
    • Identify as Black or of African descent
    • Be legally authorised to work in Canada
    • Possess basic computer skills
    • Be willing to learn and participate actively
    • Be able to commit 10–15 hours per week for the full 12 weeks

    Programme Impact

    Since inception, the programme has:

    • Trained over 2,000+ Black youth
    • Provided 120+ work placements
    • Supported career entry into technology and digital roles
    • Strengthened talent pipelines for Black-led businesses
