    I&P Impact Investment Opportunity

    Deadline: Unspecified

The I&P Impact Investment Opportunity is now open for applications, offering transformative funding opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups across Sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean region. This program, powered by Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P), aims to support impactful businesses with capital, strategic guidance, and long-term partnerships that foster sustainable development.

About the I&P Impact Investment Opportunity

The I&P Impact Investment Opportunity is designed to empower locally led and impact-driven enterprises that are addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges. Through this initiative, I&P seeks to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem by investing in businesses that combine profitability with measurable positive impact.

    Funding Details

Eligible businesses can access funding ranging from €300,000 to €1,500,000 through the IPAE fund. For smaller enterprises requiring lower capital injections, I&P also provides additional support through the IPDEV2 fund, with investments below €300,000.

Investments are typically structured as equity or quasi-equity, making I&P a minority shareholder in the business for a defined period. The investment approach ensures businesses receive both financial and technical support, with an eventual exit by I&P once the business has achieved sustainable growth.

    Who Can Apply

To qualify for the I&P Impact Investment Opportunity, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

    • Be a formally registered SME or startup operating in the formal economy.
    • Be based and managed locally within Sub-Saharan Africa or the Indian Ocean region.
    • Operate in one or more of the following sectors: agribusiness, health, construction, fisheries, vocational training, textiles, distribution, services, microfinance, or other impact-driven industries.

    What Selected Businesses Receive

Beyond capital investment, selected enterprises benefit from a holistic package of support that enhances their long-term success. This includes:

    • Strategic and operational guidance tailored to business growth.
    • Assistance in governance and management development.
    • Access to I&P’s network of experts, investors, and partners.
    • A long-term partnership focused on sustainable performance and measurable social impact.

    Application Process

Applications for the I&P Impact Investment Opportunity are accepted on a rolling basis, meaning interested businesses can apply at any time. Once submitted, each application typically undergoes an initial review process that takes about 2–3 weeks.

    Why You Should Apply

This funding opportunity is ideal for purpose-driven entrepreneurs looking to scale their businesses while contributing to Africa’s sustainable development. The program offers more than just financing—it provides mentorship, governance support, and a pathway to long-term growth.

    How to Apply

Interested SMEs and startups can submit their applications directly through the official portal. The process is straightforward and designed to evaluate both financial potential and social impact.
