Position Overview
Job Title: Advocacy Manager
Organisation: Youth and Environment Europe (YEE)
Start Date: 1 March 2026 (with onboarding activities in late February 2026)
Contract Duration: 10 months (until 31 December 2026, with possibility of renewal)
Workload: 25 hours per week
Location: Remote (within Europe)
Remuneration: €2,251.99 gross per month

Key Responsibilities
The Advocacy Manager will play a central role in shaping and coordinating YEE’s advocacy work. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating YEE’s advocacy strategy across projects and policy areas
- Translating youth perspectives into clear, impactful advocacy plans
- Monitoring European and international environmental and youth-related policy processes
- Supporting YEE’s representation in relevant forums, meetings, and policy spaces
- Strengthening collaboration with member organisations, partners, and youth networks
- Ensuring advocacy work is inclusive, strategic, evidence-informed, and youth-led
- Contributing to partnerships and strategic alliances that advance YEE’s mission
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for the Advocacy Manager position should meet the following criteria:
- Strong interest in environmental advocacy and youth empowerment
- Demonstrated experience in youth advocacy, policy engagement, or related fields
- Solid understanding of European and/or international policy-making processes
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative, strategic thinking and ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must:
- Have excellent command of English (written and spoken)
- Be resident in Europe and legally able to work there (EU work permit preferred)
- Be under the age of 35 by the end of the contract period
- Demonstrate alignment with YEE’s values, mission, and commitment to youth-led environmental action
Recruitment Process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews, expected to take place between late January and early February 2026. Successful applicants will begin their onboarding process in late February ahead of the official start date in March 2026.
