About the Brower Youth Awards
The Brower Youth Awards for Environmental Leadership 2026 are among North America’s premier recognitions for youth environmental achievements. Each year, the program honors six outstanding young leaders who demonstrate creativity, dedication, and impactful action in addressing environmental challenges.
The awards aim to inspire and amplify the efforts of youth driving positive ecological change. Through mentorship, recognition, and funding, the initiative provides young environmentalists with the resources they need to expand their influence and inspire others.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Brower Youth Awards 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be between 13 and 22 years old as of the application deadline (March 31, 2026).
- Be currently residing in North America, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, and U.S. territories.
- Have played a major leadership role in a project, campaign, or organization with clear environmental benefits.
Award Benefits
Winners of the Brower Youth Awards for Environmental Leadership 2026 will receive:
- A cash prize of $3,000 in recognition of their outstanding environmental work.

Selection and Evaluation Criteria

Application Requirements
Applicants must complete their submissions personally—applications submitted by others on behalf of a candidate will not be accepted. Requirements include:
- A completed online application form detailing the project, goals, and outcomes.
- A recent personal photograph uploaded with the application.
- Semifinalists will be required to submit a letter of support from an adult (not a parent or guardian) familiar with their environmental work.
