    Internship Tracks

    The programme offers two main internship tracks, depending on departmental needs and candidate profiles.

    1. Corporate Internship

    • Project-based assignments aligned with AIIB’s operational and strategic priorities
    • Interns may work independently or as part of a team
    • Focused on delivering tangible outputs and measurable results
    • Based mainly in Beijing

    2. Research / Academic Internship

    • Research-oriented roles supporting AIIB’s policy and analytical work
    • Assignments aligned with institutional research priorities
    • May be in-person, hybrid, or remote, depending on the role

    Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Be enrolled full-time in a recognised Master’s or PhD programme
    • Be willing to return to their academic studies after completing the internship
    • Possess strong analytical, organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken
    • Relevant academic or professional experience is an advantage, but not mandatory
    • Open to applicants from all nationalities

    Internship Benefits

    Selected interns will receive the following benefits:

    • Daily stipend of USD 90 per workday
    • Round-trip airfare to Beijing (where applicable)
