    About the Rotary District 6220 Global Grant Scholarship 2026–2027

    The Rotary District 6220 Global Grant Scholarship 2026–2027 is part of the Rotary Global Grant Scholarship Program, funded by The Rotary Foundation and administered at the district level. It is designed to empower future leaders through graduate education that supports Rotary’s mission of promoting peace, improving health, and advancing community development across the globe.

    The total value of the award is $30,000, which can be used to cover tuition, travel, living expenses, and other educational costs for a graduate program abroad.

    Scholarship Focus Areas

    Applicants must pursue graduate-level studies that align with at least one of Rotary International’s seven areas of focus:

    • Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention
    • Disease Prevention and Treatment
    • Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene
    • Maternal and Child Health
    • Basic Education and Literacy
    • Community Economic Development
    • The Environment

    Scholarship Value and Study Duration

    • Award Amount: $30,000 total
    • Level: Graduate (Master’s level; non-doctoral programs only)
    • Duration: Studies must begin no earlier than Fall 2026 and be completed by December 31, 2027.
    • Study Location: The program must be pursued in a country where Rotary has a presence.

    Eligibility Criteria

    To qualify for the Rotary District 6220 Global Grant Scholarship 2026–2027, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Reside, work, or study within Rotary District 6220 (includes the northern part of Wisconsin and part of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula — applicants must live north of Calumet Street in the Appleton area).
    • Be a college graduate planning to enroll in a postgraduate (graduate-level) degree program.
    • Not be a Rotarian, employee of Rotary International, or an immediate family member (child or grandchild) of a Rotarian who has been active within the last three years.
    • Demonstrate strong academic performance and a clear commitment to community service and leadership.
    • Show proficiency in the language of instruction for the chosen program.
    • Present a well-defined career plan consistent with Rotary’s areas of focus.
    • Exhibit an intention to maintain a lifelong relationship with Rotary following completion of the scholarship program.

    Application Process

    Step 1: Pre-Qualification

    Interested applicants must first complete the 2026–2027 Global Grant Scholarship Pre-Qualification Application.

    Step 2: Full Application

    Those who meet the initial requirements will be invited to submit a Full Application with supporting documents and references.

    Step 3: Interview

    Finalists may be invited for an interview—either in person or via video conference.

    Step 4: Admission and Award

    Successful candidates must provide proof of admission to an eligible graduate program before receiving scholarship funds. Final awards are subject to approval by The Rotary International Foundation.

    Application Deadline

    The deadline to apply for the Rotary District 6220 Global Grant Scholarship 2026–2027 is January 10, 2026. Early application is strongly encouraged to allow ample time for review and interviews.
