    About the TIHMC Start-Up Support Programme 2026

    The Innovation Hub Management Company (TIHMC), in partnership with the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) through the Strategic Industrial Bio-innovation Partnership (SIIP), is calling for proposals for the TIHMC Start-Up Support Programme 2026.

    This initiative seeks to increase access to finance for innovative, knowledge-based small, micro and medium enterprises (SMMEs) and projects, especially those operating in the bio-innovation sector. The programme supports innovation-driven ventures working on solutions that can contribute to economic growth and technological advancement.


    Funding and Support Details

    Through the TIHMC Start-Up Support Programme 2026, selected applicants will receive financial assistance to help scale their innovations and business operations.

    • Funding Amount: R51,000 to R300,000 per project per year
    • Duration: Up to three years of support based on project performance and need

    Applicants are required to clearly outline their funding needs for the next three years, indicating if Year 1 exceeds R300,000. Funding is designed to cover areas such as:

    • Product development and testing
    • Demonstrations and pilot implementations
    • Business development and support activities
