    Program Tracks

    The fellowship offers two main tracks tailored to diverse academic and professional backgrounds:

    1. Traditional Track

    This track is ideal for candidates with strong quantitative and analytical backgrounds in:

    • Economics
    • Public Health
    • Agricultural Economics
    • Health Services Research
    • And other related disciplines

    2. Analytics and Modeling Track

    This track suits individuals specializing in advanced quantitative disciplines, including:

    Location

    Most fellows are based at CDC headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, although some placements may occur in other CDC offices or public health agencies across the United States.


    Fellowship Benefits

    Fellows receive compensation at the Federal General Schedule (GS-12, Step 3) level, accompanied by comprehensive U.S. federal employee benefits such as:

    • A possible salary increase after the first year based on performance
    • A starting annual salary of approximately $98,000 plus benefits (based on recent listings)
