Key Responsibilities
Selected interns will work closely with education staff and will be expected to:
- Assist with and lead K–12 environmental education field trip programmes
- Support teacher professional development workshops
- Care for and maintain educational aquaria, including turtles and fish
- Prepare, maintain, and organise educational equipment and teaching spaces
- Assist with volunteer coordination and public engagement activities
- Participate in two required Saturday programmes during the internship period
- Design and complete an independent education-related project in collaboration with SERC staff
The role combines outdoor education, classroom facilitation, animal care, and programme support.
