    The World Bank Global Youth Video Call 2025 is an exciting global opportunity for young people to share powerful stories about how their environment has shaped their journey, skills, opportunities, and potential. This initiative invites youth aged 18 to 30 to submit a one-minute video focused on one key theme—home, neighbourhood, or work. The World Bank Global Youth Video Call 2025 offers young people a chance to be heard on a global stage and contribute to the conversation on human capital development.


    About the World Bank Global Youth Video Call 2025

    This global call is designed to amplify youth voices worldwide by showcasing authentic, lived experiences that reflect how different environments influence development. The World Bank aims to highlight real stories that demonstrate how human capital—knowledge, skills, and health—shapes opportunities and futures.

    Participants are encouraged to creatively express how their surroundings have contributed to their growth. Whether captured on a smartphone or professional camera, the video must be unique, personal, and no longer than one minute.


    Who Is Eligible?

    To participate in the World Bank Global Youth Video Call 2025, applicants must:

    • Be between 18 and 30 years old
    • Submit an original 1-minute video
    • Include English subtitles if the video is in another language
    • Ensure they own all creative rights to the video content
    • Have access to a phone or camera for recording

    This open call is global, inclusive, and flexible—any young person with a story to tell can take part.


    Video Themes

    Your one-minute video must focus on one of the following themes:

    1. Home

    Share how your home environment—family, upbringing, values, or challenges—has shaped your development and aspirations.

    2. Neighbourhood

    Speak about how your community, school, mentors, or local influences have contributed to your opportunities, limitations, or identity.

    3. Work

    Reflect on how work experiences—jobs, internships, volunteering, or skills training—have impacted your future goals or current path.


    Video Requirements

    Your submission must follow these guidelines:

    • Maximum duration: 1 minute
    • Any style or format is accepted (interview, documentary, animation, monologue, etc.)
    • Videos not in English must include English subtitles
    • The content must be original and created by the applicant

    The World Bank prioritises clarity, storytelling, and authenticity. Applicants can shoot using basic equipment; what matters most is the message.

    • World Bank social media platforms
    • The Human Capital Report website
    • The global Human Capital Report launch event in early 2026
