    EaP Civil Society Fellowship 2026

    Deadline: December 30, 2025

The EaP Civil Society Fellowship 2026 is an exciting opportunity for civic-minded individuals and organisations in the Eastern Partnership (EaP) region who are interested in launching or scaling projects with social impact. Whether you are passionate about community engagement or building civic-tech solutions, this fully funded fellowship offers not only financial support but also coaching, training, and international exposure — making it an excellent platform to turn ideas into real-world change.

What is the EaP Civil Society Fellowship 2026

The EaP Civil Society Fellowship 2026 is part of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Facility — an initiative funded by the European Union designed to support civil society activists, civic-tech innovators, and community-focused changemakers across EaP countries. This fellowship aims to empower individuals and groups with innovative ideas for civic engagement, social justice, climate resilience, inclusive digitalisation and more.

The programme supports two primary streams:

    • Community Engagement — Projects centred on grassroots activism, social inclusion, participatory governance, environment & climate resilience, economic resilience, and social justice.
    • Civic Digital (Civic-Tech) — Projects leveraging digital tools, technology and innovation to support civil society, inclusive governance, transparency, and community development.

Who Can Apply — Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the EaP Civil Society Fellowship 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Be 18 years or older.
    • Be a citizen of one of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries — Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova or Ukraine — regardless of current country of residence.
    • Have working knowledge of English.
    • Present a concrete and compelling idea for a civic or community-oriented project (either under the Community Engagement stream or the Civic-Tech stream).

What the Fellowship Offers — Benefits for Successful Fellows

Selected fellows and projects will receive:

    • Up to €5,000 in funding to implement their project.
    • Coaching and training in project management, communication, technical skills, and other relevant areas.
    • Access to international events, learning courses, and the fellowship’s alumni network — providing valuable exposure and collaboration opportunities.
    • The prestige and visibility associated with being an “EaP Civil Society Fellow,” enhancing credibility for future initiatives and funding opportunities.

Projects can address critical issues such as economic resilience, rule of law, environment and climate resilience, inclusive digitalisation, participatory governance, social justice, and more.

    Application Process & Deadline

    • Applicants must submit a Concept Note by 30 December 2025. Only one application per individual is permitted.
    • If the Concept Note is approved, the applicant will be invited to submit a Full Application.
    • The process involves two stages to ensure that only well-thought-through, feasible and impactful proposals move forward.

Who Should Consider Applying — Ideal Candidates

This fellowship is especially well-suited for:

    • Civic-minded individuals, youth leaders, activists, social entrepreneurs, NGO workers, and community organisers in EaP countries.
    • Innovators and tech enthusiasts interested in building civic-tech solutions that address social challenges.
    • Those seeking seed funding, mentorship, and exposure to international networks and resources — especially for projects centred on social justice, transparency, environment, governance, digital inclusion, and community resilience.

Why the EaP Civil Society Fellowship 2026 Matters

The EaP Civil Society Fellowship 2026 represents more than just a grant — it’s an opportunity to build sustainable, participatory, and impactful initiatives that address real community needs. With its combination of financial support, technical training, and global connectivity, the fellowship stands out as a gateway for changemakers to bring transformative ideas to life.
