Aspen Institute Food Leaders Fellowship 2026

    Deadline: December 5, 2025

The Aspen Institute Food Leaders Fellowship 2026 is now open for applications, offering an exceptional opportunity for emerging leaders across the food system in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This prestigious 18-month fellowship supports innovators, entrepreneurs, and changemakers committed to building a fair, healthy, and sustainable future for food. Designed to strengthen leadership capacity while expanding impact, the Aspen Institute Food Leaders Fellowship 2026 combines intensive in-person seminars, virtual learning, mentorship, and community collaboration to accelerate transformative work across the food ecosystem.

    About the Opportunity

The Food Leaders Fellowship is an initiative of the Aspen Institute’s Food & Society programme. It brings together a diverse cohort of high-potential individuals who are driving meaningful change at local, national, and regional levels. The fellowship challenges participants to reflect deeply on their leadership, engage with complex issues within the food system, and develop strategic solutions to amplify positive impact.

Over the course of 18 months, fellows take part in rigorous in-person seminars, curated site visits, peer-learning sessions, expert-led discussions, and virtual gatherings. Each participant develops a personalised action plan that aligns with their long-term food-system vision and current body of work. The initiative also supports a lasting community of collaboration, allowing fellows to stay connected beyond the official programme’s duration.
