About the Opportunity

The internship places participants within the Communications Team at Salzburg Global. Interns contribute to content production for SalzburgGlobal.org and external media channels. Responsibilities include writing interviews and feature stories, conducting interviews with Fellows and donors (in-person and online), and producing multimedia content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

Interns also support research on Fellows’ post-programme work, maintain digital asset and publication libraries, and provide administrative support to the Communications Team. This role offers extensive experience across communication formats and platforms, making it ideal for early-career professionals seeking global exposure.


Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be completing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in journalism, communications, public relations, or digital marketing).
  • Must have notable experience in journalistic writing and content production, including work in student publications or internships.
  • Should possess strong media experience in written and multimedia content creation.
  • Must demonstrate solid knowledge of international affairs relevant to Salzburg Global’s focus areas.
  • Must have excellent English writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Photoshop, is desirable.
  • Familiarity with digital content management systems and multimedia editing is an advantage.
  • Should demonstrate a positive, proactive approach, strong multitasking skills, and flexibility.
  • Must be comfortable working with culturally and professionally diverse teams.
  • German language skills are not required.

Benefits / Award Details

This full-time internship runs for a period of up to three months. Although the internship is unpaid, it includes several key benefits:
