Concrete in Life Global Photography Competition 2025-2026

    Deadline: November 30, 2025

The Concrete in Life Global Photography Competition 2025-2026 is an exciting international photo contest organized by the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA). This annual competition celebrates the beauty, versatility, and importance of concrete in everyday life — from urban landscapes and infrastructure to artistic designs and daily human interactions.

This global contest invites professional and amateur photographers from all around the world to capture the unique role concrete plays in shaping our built environment and daily experiences.

About the Concrete in Life Global Photography Competition 2025-2026

The Concrete in Life Global Photography Competition 2025-2026 aims to highlight how concrete contributes to communities across the world — not just as a building material but as a central part of modern life. The competition encourages participants to use their creativity to tell the story of concrete through photography, showcasing its role in sustainability, architecture, design, and infrastructure.

    Organizer

The competition is organized by the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA), a global organization that represents the cement and concrete industry and promotes sustainable innovation within the sector.

    Eligibility

The competition is open to everyone aged 18 and above. Whether you’re a professional photographer or an enthusiast using a smartphone camera, you are welcome to participate.

    Entry Deadline

All submissions must be received on or before November 30, 2025. Late entries will not be accepted.

    How to Enter

Participants can submit their photographs in two ways:

    1. Via Social Media:
Upload your photo to Instagram or X (formerly Twitter) with the following hashtags:
      • #ConcreteInLife2526 (main competition hashtag)
      • The hashtag of your chosen category (see below)
      • The hashtag of the country where the photo was taken (e.g., #Nigeria, #India, #UK)
Ensure your account is public so that your entry can be viewed and evaluated.
    2. Via Email:
Participants may also send their entries via email following the competition’s official instructions (available on the GCCA website).

    Competition Categories

The competition features four categories, each focusing on a different aspect of how concrete influences life and design:

    1. #UrbanConcrete – Capturing concrete within urban design, cityscapes, and modern architecture.
    2. #ConcreteInfrastructure – Featuring the use of concrete in infrastructure projects both above and below ground (e.g., bridges, tunnels, transport systems).
    3. #ConcreteInDailyLife – Showing how people interact with concrete in everyday settings.
    4. #ConcreteBeautyAndDesign – Highlighting artistic, aesthetic, and innovative uses of concrete in design and architecture.

Each photo should clearly express one of these themes.

    Prizes

The competition offers generous cash prizes to reward creativity and visual storytelling:

    • Overall Winner: USD $10,000
    • Category Winners (4): USD $2,500 each
    • People’s Choice Award: USD $5,000

Winners will receive international recognition across GCCA’s platforms and partner networks.

    Judging Criteria

Entries will be judged based on:

    • Creativity and originality
    • Visual impact and composition
    • Relevance to the theme and category chosen
    • Storytelling and message conveyed through the photo

    Tips for a Successful Entry

    • Ensure your photo tells a clear story about how concrete influences daily life, design, or infrastructure.
    • Use correct hashtags and spellings to avoid disqualification.
    • Keep your captions concise and meaningful.
    • Double-check that your photo fits perfectly into one of the four categories.
    • Submissions should reflect diversity, innovation, and creativity in how concrete is used globally.

    Important Notes

    • Only entrants aged 18 years and above are eligible.
    • Submissions featuring inappropriate content or misused hashtags will be disqualified.
    • All participants must adhere to the terms and conditions stated on the official GCCA competition website.

    Why Participate?

The Concrete in Life Global Photography Competition 2025-2026 offers a remarkable opportunity for photographers to gain international exposure and win substantial cash rewards. Beyond the prizes, participants become part of a global storytelling movement celebrating the role of concrete in shaping sustainable and livable environments.
