    Eligibility

    Applicants must meet the following criteria to participate:

    • Be enrolled in a graduate or postgraduate (master’s level or higher) programme at a recognised university.
    • Be born in 1996 or later.
    • Submit an individual essay (group submissions are not permitted).
    • Ensure the essay is original and written exclusively for this competition.

    Winners of the St. Gallen Symposium Global Essay Competition 2026 will receive:

    • A total prize amount of CHF 20,000, distributed among the top three winners.
    • An invitation to attend the St. Gallen Symposium in Switzerland, fully funded by the organisers.
