    ROGEAP ASPIRE Program 2026

    Deadline: October 31, 2025

Are you passionate about renewable energy and eager to build a professional career in the off-grid solar sector? The ROGEAP ASPIRE Program 2026 offers an incredible opportunity for aspiring solar technicians and engineers across West and Central Africa to receive professional training, certification, and access to the regional off-grid energy market.

About the ROGEAP ASPIRE Program 2026

The ROGEAP ASPIRE Program 2026 is part of the Regional Off-Grid Electricity Access Project (ROGEAP), an initiative funded by the World Bank, the Clean Technology Fund (CTF), and the Directorate-General for International Cooperation (DGIS) of the Netherlands.

The programme aims to develop a strong and sustainable regional ecosystem for off-grid solar systems—covering manufacturing, assembly, installation, and maintenance—across the ECOWAS region and several sub-Saharan African countries.

Through ASPIRE, participants receive technical training and regional certification as qualified solar system installers, opening doors to opportunities within the fast-growing renewable energy industry.

    What the Program Offers

    Successful applicants will:

    • Receive certified regional installer training recognised across the ECOWAS region.
    • Gain technical and professional skills in off-grid solar system installation, maintenance, and safety.
    • Obtain career pathways in the renewable energy and sustainability sector.
    • Get access to the regional off-grid solar energy market, enabling them to work across West and Central Africa.

This programme is designed to equip participants with both the technical competence and the business knowledge needed to thrive in the clean energy ecosystem.

    Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the ROGEAP ASPIRE Program 2026, applicants must:

    • Be a national of one of the following countries: Cameroon, Cape Verde, or Côte d’Ivoire (with more ECOWAS countries possibly being added).
    • Be physically and mentally fit to work at heights and under pressure in hot environments.
    • Possess a valid form of identification such as a passport, driver’s licence, or national ID card.
    • Hold a professional diploma in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant technical field, or be a student enrolled in a recognised technical or vocational school.

    Why You Should Apply

The ROGEAP ASPIRE Program 2026 is not just a training opportunity—it’s a gateway to the future of clean energy and sustainable development in Africa. Participants will join a growing network of skilled professionals shaping the energy landscape and advancing climate solutions across the continent.

    By participating, you will:

    • Enhance employability in the renewable energy sector.
    • Contribute to sustainable energy access across the ECOWAS region.
    • Gain international recognition as a certified solar energy technician.

    Important Dates

    • Application Deadline: 31 October 2025

Make sure all required documents are prepared and submitted before the closing date to avoid disqualification.

    About ROGEAP

The Regional Off-Grid Electricity Access Project (ROGEAP) is a regional initiative that seeks to expand electricity access to households, businesses, and communities using standalone solar systems. Supported by major international partners including the World Bank, CTF, and DGIS, ROGEAP aims to promote sustainable energy access, job creation, and private-sector investment across West and Central Africa.
