About the Science by Women Programme 2026
The Science by Women Programme 2026, organised by the Fundación Mujeres por África (FMxA), brings together 15 renowned Spanish research centres to host exceptional African female scientists.
The programme offers 17 six-month post-doctoral fellowships to researchers who demonstrate exceptional potential and are currently affiliated with a university or research organisation in Africa.

Fellowship Benefits
Successful applicants to the Fundación Mujeres por África Science by Women Programme 2026 will receive comprehensive financial and institutional support, including:
- Monthly living allowance: €2,600 gross (approx. €1,976 net after tax)
- Round-trip airfare: Up to €1,800 from the fellow’s home country to the host city in Spain
- Visa and administrative costs: Reimbursement up to €400 (upon submission of receipts)

Eligibility Criteria
