    UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women and Girls 2025 Call for Proposals

    The UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women and Girls 2025 Call for Proposals is now open! The Fund invites civil society organisations worldwide to apply for grants of up to US $800,000 to implement innovative projects that prevent and respond to violence against women and girls (VAWG).

    This is a unique opportunity for women’s rights and feminist organisations to access multi-year funding and scale transformative interventions that drive systemic change in communities. The deadline for submission of proposals is 19 November 2025.


    About the UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women and Girls

    Established in 1996, the UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women and Girls (UN TF) is the only global grant-making mechanism dedicated exclusively to addressing all forms of violence against women and girls. Managed by UN Women on behalf of the UN system, the Fund supports civil society organisations to design, implement and evaluate effective strategies that end gender-based violence in all its forms.

    The Fund prioritises projects that are women-led, feminist, constituent-led, or grassroots-based, especially those that work directly with marginalised and under-represented women and girls.


    Focus and Outcome Areas

    All projects under the UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women and Girls 2025 must contribute to one or more of the following key outcome areas:

    1️⃣ Access to Quality Services

    Improve access for women and girls to specialist, safe, adequate and quality multisectoral services, including healthcare, justice, psychosocial support, and protection.

    2️⃣ Prevention of Violence

    Strengthen prevention of violence against women and girls by promoting changes in behaviours, practices, and attitudes that perpetuate inequality and discrimination.

    3️⃣ Policy and Accountability

    Enhance the effectiveness of legislation, policies, national action plans, and accountability systems to prevent and end all forms of violence against women and girls.


    Eligibility Criteria

    The call is open to civil society organisations (CSOs) that meet the following criteria:

    • Registered non-governmental, non-profit, or community-based organisations;
    • Women’s and girls’ rights organisations, women-led or constituent-led entities are strongly encouraged to apply;
    • Small and grassroots organisations will receive special consideration;
    • Projects must align with one or more of the Fund’s outcome areas;
    • Applicants must demonstrate organisational capacity to manage and implement a four-year grant.

    • Applications are accepted in English, French, or Spanish.
    • Application materials are available in PDF and Word formats.
    • Submissions must be made through the Fund’s online grants management system.
