About the 3rd Team Europe Youth Sounding Board for Zimbabwe 2026–2028

The 3rd Team Europe Youth Sounding Board for Zimbabwe 2026–2028 brings together 25 young Zimbabweans from both rural and urban areas — including youth with disabilities — to serve as advisors to the European Union Delegation and EU Member States Embassies in Zimbabwe.

The Youth Sounding Board will play a vital role in ensuring that EU actions and development programmes are inclusive, youth-driven, and responsive to the real needs of young people across the country.

The two-year term runs from 2026 to 2028, during which members will engage with the EU and its partners through consultations, policy discussions, and on-the-ground initiatives.

  • Climate-Smart Agriculture
  • Green Economic Growth
  • Human Development
  • Good Governance and Human Rights
  • Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment

These thematic pillars align with the EU’s global commitment to sustainable development and the empowerment of youth as active change-makers.


Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of application.
  • Be a Zimbabwean national or permanent resident.
  • Not hold a leadership position in a political party.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to youth socio-economic development and empowerment.
  • Be willing and able to dedicate approximately 60 days per year to the activities of the Youth Sounding Board (both online and in-person).
  • This is a voluntary role; however, the EU covers reasonable expenses for participation.
