MOVE-ComCashew Call for Ideas Focused on the Cashew Value Chain 2025

    Deadline: November 7, 2025

The MOVE-ComCashew Call for Ideas Focused on the Cashew Value Chain 2025 is now open for submissions! This exciting initiative invites young and emerging agripreneurs across the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) to develop and submit innovative business ideas that contribute to a sustainable, climate-resilient, and inclusive cashew sector.

This call aims to identify, nurture, and support agribusiness solutions that not only strengthen the cashew value chain but also promote climate-smart agricultural practices and enhance livelihoods in rural communities.

About the MOVE-ComCashew Call for Ideas 2025

The MOVE-ComCashew initiative is a collaborative effort designed to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) within the agricultural sector—especially those working in or around the cashew value chain.

By focusing on low-emission, climate-resilient practices, the program seeks to transform agricultural systems and make them more sustainable, inclusive, and profitable. Selected participants will gain access to technical guidance, financial support, and exposure to networks that can help scale their innovations.

    Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the MOVE-ComCashew Call for Ideas Focused on the Cashew Value Chain 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Must be 18 years or older at the time of application.
    • Be a young or emerging agripreneur with a viable idea or running agribusiness.
    • Reside in one of the OACPS member states.
    • Focus areas include cashew, but related sectors such as cocoa, maize, and livestock (cattle, sheep, goats) are also welcome.

This inclusivity allows a wide range of innovative thinkers and doers to contribute ideas that align with sustainable agricultural transformation goals.

    Benefits of Participation

Successful applicants stand to gain a wide range of benefits designed to grow their businesses and strengthen their ideas. These include:

    • Up to €2,000 in funding to scale or refine your agribusiness.
    • Essential business tools such as a laptop, tablet, or relevant software to enhance operations.
    • Expert mentoring and training sessions to strengthen your business model and technical capacity.
    • Incubation support to turn ideas into viable, investment-ready ventures.
    • Networking opportunities with financial institutions and agribusiness experts.

This comprehensive support package ensures that every selected participant receives both technical and financial backing to thrive in the competitive agribusiness landscape.

    3. Develop your business idea using the Business Model Canvas (AgriCanvas) template provided within the course.
    4. Submit your completed application along with:
      • The course completion certificate ID, and

These structured requirements ensure that participants are not only submitting innovative ideas but are also well-prepared with essential agribusiness knowledge and skills.

    Deadline

All applications must be submitted by November 7, 2025.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to start early to complete the required courses and prepare a strong, well-developed business model.

    Key Focus Areas
