    This global initiative, organised by People Powered in collaboration with Coglobal under the Nets4Dem Project, offers mentorship, skill-building, and networking support to leaders who are ready to transform their participatory ideas into impactful actions.


    About the Rising Star Mentorship Program 2025

    The Rising Star Mentorship Program 2025 is a six-month online mentoring initiative focused on supporting individuals and organisations committed to advancing participatory democracy. The programme connects participants with expert mentors who provide hands-on guidance in designing, launching, and improving participatory programmes.

    Participants receive tailored mentorship to help overcome key challenges in:

    • Programme design
    • Implementation processes
    • Securing organisational or government approval
    • Building inclusive and effective engagement strategies

    This initiative supports individuals working in government or civil society sectors who are driving democratic innovation, public participation, and collaborative governance efforts.


    Who Can Apply?

    The programme is open to a diverse range of professionals and activists, including:

    1. Civil society activists seeking approval or support for participatory programmes within their organisations or communities.
    2. Government officials or community partners planning new participatory governance initiatives.
    3. Staff members from civil society or government agencies responsible for implementing or scaling participatory programmes.

    Whether you are at the idea stage or already running a participatory programme, the mentorship provides valuable insights and support tailored to your specific context.


    What the Mentorship Involves

    Selected participants will undergo an engaging and supportive mentorship experience that includes:

    • Orientation Session:
      Successful applicants will attend an online orientation to understand the programme’s structure, goals, and expectations. This session introduces participants to the mentoring process, available resources, and networking opportunities within the People Powered community.
    • Mentor Matching:
      Participants are matched with mentors or mentoring groups based on key criteria such as:
      • Type of participatory programme
      • Language preferences
      • Geographical location
      • Specific challenges and goals
    • Mentoring Sessions:
      Over a six-month period, mentees will have up to three calls with their mentors. These sessions will focus on problem-solving, goal setting, and guidance on how to design and sustain participatory initiatives effectively.
