    Verizon Public Policy Summer Internship 2026

The Verizon Public Policy Summer Internship 2026 is a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in policy analysis, corporate responsibility, and advocacy at one of the world’s leading technology companies. This 10-week hybrid internship offers competitive pay and the chance to work with senior Verizon policy executives in Washington, D.C.

    Application Deadline

    The application deadline for the Verizon Public Policy Summer Internship 2026 is 31 October 2025. Early applications are strongly encouraged as the selection process is competitive.


    Internship Duration and Location

    • Duration: 10 weeks
    • Internship Period: June 2026 – August 2026
    • Location: Washington, D.C. (Hybrid) — interns must be willing to relocate or travel to the D.C. area for the duration of the internship.

    Compensation

    This is a fully paid internship opportunity. Selected interns will receive a base pay ranging between $23.00/hour and $36.00/hour, depending on role responsibilities and academic class year.


    Internship Responsibilities

    As a Verizon Public Policy Summer Intern, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Work directly with senior Verizon policy executives on strategic policy initiatives.
    • Conduct business and policy landscape analysis to support Verizon’s advocacy goals.
    • Assist in the development and execution of policy campaigns.
    • Attend policy forums, hearings, and Capitol Hill visits to gain real-world experience in public affairs.
    • Draft memoranda, conduct in-depth research, and support communications planning.
    • Learn about Verizon’s corporate responsibility and stakeholder engagement efforts within the technology and policy ecosystem.
    • Use advanced policy research tools such as Bloomberg Government, National Journal, and legal/political documents.

    Eligibility Criteria

    To be eligible for the Verizon Public Policy Summer Internship, applicants must:

    • Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or JD programme.
    • Expect to graduate between December 2026 and June 2028.
    • Have legal authorisation to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
    • Be willing to work in Washington, D.C. and able to relocate or travel for the internship.

    Preferred Qualifications

    While not mandatory, the following skills and qualities will strengthen your application:

    • Open-mindedness across the political spectrum and a willingness to engage with diverse viewpoints.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
    • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation abilities.
    • Proven leadership and teamwork experience in academic or professional settings.
