    Eligibility Criteria

    To apply for the Jane Street Graduate Research Fellowship 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Be enrolled in or committed to enrol in a PhD programme in EECS, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or related fields.
    • Have at least one year remaining in their PhD programme during the fellowship year.
    • Be enrolled at a full-time accredited research institution in the US, Canada, UK, Europe, Australia, or New Zealand during the fellowship period.
    • Maintain good academic standing throughout the duration of the award.
    • International students are welcome to apply.
    • Employees of Jane Street or their immediate family members are not eligible to become fellows or finalists (though they may receive an Honourable Mention).

    Fellowship Benefits

    Successful applicants will enjoy a package designed to ease financial pressure and enhance their academic pursuits:

    • Full tuition and fees coverage for the fellowship year.
    • USD 45,000 stipend (or equivalent) for living expenses.

    Required Application Materials
