    Are you inspired by young people creating positive change in their communities? The Diana Award 2026 is now open for nominations! This prestigious international recognition celebrates outstanding young changemakers who are driving meaningful social impact.

    Established in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, the award honours young leaders who are championing causes that make the world a better place. If you know a passionate young person between the ages of 9 and 25 who deserves to be recognised, now is the perfect time to nominate them.


    Nomination Deadline

    The Diana Award 2026 nomination deadline is 31 October 2025. All nominations must be submitted online before this date.

    The Diana Award is founded on Princess Diana’s belief that young people have the power to change the world. It empowers youth by celebrating their achievements, connecting them to global networks, and providing them with transformative opportunities.

    Recipients are recognised for their dedication to social action and humanitarian efforts across diverse fields such as education, climate action, health, and equality.

    Nominee Eligibility Criteria

    To be nominated for the Diana Award 2026, nominees must meet the following eligibility requirements:

    • Age Requirement: Nominees must be aged 9 to 24 years at the time of nomination (they may turn 25 by the time of the award ceremony).
    • Track Record: They must have engaged in social action work for at least 12 months, demonstrating consistency, impact, and sustainability.
    • Thematic Focus: Nominees’ work should align with at least one of the following UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
      • Quality Education
      • Reduced Inequality
      • Good Health & Wellbeing
      • Climate Action

    Nominees can come from any country around the world.


    Nominator Eligibility and Responsibilities

    The nominator plays a crucial role in the application process. Here’s what you need to know:

    • Must be over 18 years old.
    • Self-nominations are not allowed.
    • Must know the nominee in a professional capacity (e.g. teacher, mentor, project leader — not a family member).
    • Required to provide the contact details of two additional supporters who also know the nominee professionally.
    • Supporters must each complete a supporter statement in English, verifying the nominee’s work, impact, and character.
    • Nominators must submit three pieces of evidence to support the nomination (e.g. photos, videos, press clippings, reports, testimonials).
    • All evidence and statements must be submitted in English.
    • Nominators must consent to sharing their personal contact information with the nominee.

    Nomination Evidence Checklist

    To make your nomination as strong as possible, ensure you have the following ready:

    1. ✅ Three high-quality supporting materials (photos, videos, reports, or testimonials).
    2. ✅ Two credible supporter contacts.
    3. ✅ Detailed supporter statements highlighting the nominee’s achievements and impact.
    4. ✅ Clear examples of measurable results from the nominee’s social action work.

    Nominations for the Diana Award 2026 are submitted online. The process involves:

    1. Completing the official nomination form.
    2. Providing all required nominee details and evidence.
    3. Adding nominator and supporter information.
    4. Submitting before the 31 October 2025 deadline.
