    Deadline: October 5, 2025

Are you an experienced entrepreneur passionate about supporting underrepresented voices in innovation? The QUEST Entrepreneur in Residence 2025-2026 programme offers a unique opportunity to inspire, mentor, and shape the future of inclusive entrepreneurship within the university ecosystem. Hosted by Queen Mary University of London, this initiative seeks dynamic entrepreneurial leaders to become role models for the next generation.

About the QUEST Entrepreneur in Residence 2025-2026 Programme

The QUEST Entrepreneur in Residence 2025-2026 programme is designed to embed inclusive role models within university innovation ecosystems. Its core mission is to foster entrepreneurship and innovation among diverse communities—especially supporting women of colour and other underrepresented groups.

This is a part-time, flexible residency that runs across the 2025–2026 academic year. Selected entrepreneurs will play a key role in mentoring students and founders, supporting business development, and championing equity in entrepreneurship.

    Role and Responsibilities

Entrepreneurs in residence will contribute their expertise in a variety of impactful ways, including:

    • Mentorship and Guidance: Advising founders (with a focus on underrepresented voices) on idea development, pitching, investor relations, and growth strategies.
    • Workshops and Engagement: Hosting informal drop-in sessions and thematic workshops based on their professional experiences.
    • Programme Design: Collaborating with the QUEST team to develop inclusive entrepreneurial support pathways and create case studies.
    • Advocacy and Visibility: Acting as visible champions of inclusive entrepreneurship, inspiring the university’s community through example.

    Benefits and Commitment

    • Financial Contribution: Entrepreneurs in residence will receive a financial contribution in recognition of their time and effort.
    • Flexible Time Commitment: The estimated commitment is approximately one day per month between November 2025 and June 2026.
    • Potential Extension: The residency may be extended beyond June 2026, subject to review and mutual agreement.

    Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this prestigious role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Demonstrated entrepreneurial experience in any sector.
    • Currently owning or running a business.
    • A strong interest in equity, inclusion, and youth development.
    • Experience in mentoring young people or students is highly desirable.
    • Existing connections with accelerators, investors, or business communities are advantageous but not mandatory.
    • Must be based in the United Kingdom and comfortable supporting both in-person and remote/hybrid engagements.

    Application Process

Interested candidates are required to submit a short Expression of Interest (EoI), either:

    • A maximum one-page written document, or
    • A three-minute video submission.

    The EoI should include:

    1. A short biography and LinkedIn profile.
    2. A summary of your entrepreneurial background.
    3. A clear statement on why the role appeals to you.
    4. Details of relevant mentoring or engagement experience.

All applications should be sent via email to:

    Leah Thompson
    Associate Director – Entrepreneurship
    Queen Mary University of London

    Deadline

The deadline for submitting applications is 5 October 2025. Early submissions are encouraged to allow sufficient time for review.

    Conclusion

The QUEST Entrepreneur in Residence 2025-2026 programme is an exceptional opportunity for UK-based entrepreneurs to make a tangible impact on inclusive innovation. By sharing your knowledge and expertise, you can shape the entrepreneurial journeys of emerging founders and contribute to a thriving, diverse ecosystem.
