The Stanford Next Asia Policy Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026-2028 is now open for applications. About the Fellowship
- Host Institution: Stanford Next Asia Policy Lab (SNAPL), Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies.
- Fellowship Duration: Two years (2026–2028), beginning in Fall 2026, with a possible extension based on performance and funding.
- Tracks / Research Themes: Applicants may apply for one of the following four thematic tracks:
- Talent Flows and Development
- Nationalism and Racism (applications in this track are especially encouraged)
- U.S.-Asia Relations
- Democratic Crisis and Reform
Fellowship Benefits
Selected fellows will:
- Lead a thematic collaborative research group within SNAPL.

Eligibility Criteria

- Demonstrated leadership capacity and commitment to policy-relevant scholarship.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit the following:

- Letter of request / research statement outlining relevant experience and proposed work in one of the thematic tracks, including plans for solo and collaborative publications.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a full list of publications.
- Three (3) letters of recommendation, sent directly to the designated Stanford contact via email.
