About the Fellowship
The Asia Health Policy Program Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026-2027 offers scholars a unique chance to conduct independent research at one of the world’s leading universities. Fellows are expected to produce high-quality, publishable research, actively participate in academic life at APARC, and contribute to advancing knowledge in health policy and systems across the Asia-Pacific.
Fellowship Benefits

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Hold a doctoral degree (PhD) awarded no more than 3 years before the start of the fellowship OR hold an MD degree awarded no more than 6 years before the start date.
- Have their doctoral/MD degree conferred no later than June 30, 2026.
- Demonstrate a strong research interest in health and healthcare policy in Asia, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries.
Fellowship Requirements
Selected fellows will be required to:
- Be in residence at Stanford University during the fellowship period.
- Present research findings at APARC seminars and workshops.
- Participate actively in the publication and research programmes of the Center.
