    Karsh Journalism Fellowship 2026

    The Karsh Journalism Fellowship 2026 is now open for applications! This prestigious fellowship offers early- to mid-career journalists and journalism graduate students an incredible opportunity to deepen their knowledge of Jewish issues, connect with leading journalists and academics, and work on impactful reporting projects. With a competitive stipend, fully funded travel, and mentorship opportunities, the Karsh Journalism Fellowship 2026 is designed to support journalists committed to reporting with depth and accuracy.


    About the Fellowship

    The fellowship begins in January 2026 and features three immersive retreats across the United States—in Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, D.C. Fellows participate in seminars, mentorship sessions, and field visits, engaging with academics, journalists, and Jewish community leaders.

    Fellowship Benefits

    • Stipend: Fellows receive US$4,000.
    • Fully funded travel: All travel expenses for retreats are covered.
    • Unique learning experience: Sessions focus on pressing topics such as antisemitism, the Holocaust, and Jewish political engagement.
    • Networking opportunities: Meet with established journalists, editors, and experts.
    • Hands-on reporting project: Fellows will work on a project under editorial supervision, providing practical experience and publishing opportunities.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants must meet at least one of the following requirements:

    • Be a working journalist with 10 years of experience or less.
    • Be an enrolled graduate student in journalism or a recent graduate of a journalism school.
