    The Common Fund for Commodities Call for Proposals 2025 is now open, offering transformative funding opportunities for organisations that improve smallholder farmer livelihoods while ensuring environmental and social sustainability. If you are an SME, cooperative, NGO, social enterprise, or public/private entity working in commodity value chains, this is your chance to secure significant financial support for high-impact projects.


    About the Common Fund for Commodities Call for Proposals 2025

    The CFC seeks innovative, scalable, and commercially viable projects that create measurable development impact for smallholder farmers. Proposals should integrate sustainability, financial inclusion, and inclusive growth, with an emphasis on building resilient and transparent value chains.


    Priority Areas

    Applicants are encouraged to align their proposals with the following focus areas:

    1. Trade Finance – connecting smallholder farmers to international markets.
    2. Regenerative Agriculture – promoting biodiversity protection and ecosystem restoration.
    3. Local Value Addition – supporting low-impact, sustainable processing and manufacturing.
    4. AgriTech and Digital Solutions – creating transparent and inclusive digital value chains.
    5. Access to Finance – improving credit and financial services for smallholders.
    6. Women Entrepreneurship – supporting women-led businesses and gender-inclusive solutions.

    Funding Available

    • Regular Projects: Up to USD 1.5 million.
    • Fast-Track Projects: Up to USD 300,000 (ideal for smaller, local initiatives).

    Eligibility Criteria

    To qualify for the Common Fund for Commodities Call for Proposals 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Be an SME, cooperative, social enterprise, NGO, or public/private entity operating in at least one of the 101 CFC member countries.
    • Demonstrate a minimum of three years of operational history with relevant sector experience.
    • Show a commitment to enhancing smallholder livelihoods and promoting inclusive local development.
    • Projects in Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), and Small Island Developing States (SIDS) will receive priority.

    Geographic Priorities

    CFC places special emphasis on the following regions and project types:

    • Congo Basin Countries: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and Republic of Congo – focusing on sustainable forest use and conservation.
    • Other Priority Countries: Senegal, Tanzania, Malawi, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Zambia, Mozambique, DRC, and Zimbabwe. Projects located outside capital cities, in non-traditional value chains, or targeting domestic markets will be highly favoured.

    Applicants must submit:

    • A completed application form (Word or PDF format).
