Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the ASM Country Ambassador Program 2026, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a current ASM member.
  • Hold a PhD (or equivalent) in a microbiology-related field, OR a graduate degree with at least 10 years of post-academic professional work.
  • Have published at least 3 microbiology-related papers in the past 5 years.
  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
  • Be available to dedicate at least 5 hours per month to ambassador responsibilities.
