    About the Princeton in Asia Fellowship

    The Princeton in Asia Fellowship is a one- or two-year programme that places selected fellows with host organisations in Asia. Fellows contribute to various sectors while developing cultural fluency, professional experience, and personal growth. Placements are designed to support Princeton in Asia’s mission of promoting meaningful cultural exchange between the United States and Asia.


    Fellowship Benefits

    Selected fellows for the Princeton in Asia Fellowship 2026-2027 receive extensive support, including:

    • Monthly stipend from the host organisation covering safe housing, food, local travel, and telecommunications.
    • Visa and work permit reimbursement (for US-based costs).
    • Health, safety, and welfare coverage, including medical and emergency evacuation insurance, International SOS membership, and mental health support.
    • Country Advisors who provide guidance on cultural orientation and country-specific matters.
    • Language grants to support fellows interested in language learning.
    • Pre-departure training and ongoing mentoring throughout the fellowship year.

    • Demonstrate strong motivation to contribute to Princeton in Asia’s mission of US-Asia exchange.
    • Note that while candidates with master’s degrees are eligible, those with terminal professional degrees (such as Ph.D., M.D., or J.D.) are not eligible.
    • There is no strict age limit, but applicants must provide a clear rationale for their suitability.
