This global environmental sustainability competition empowers secondary school students aged 13 to 19 to develop innovative solutions for a greener planet.

    With a total prize pool of US $100,000, the Earth Prize 2026 provides recognition, mentorship, and funding to bring youth-led projects to life.


    About the Earth Prize 2026

    The Earth Prize 2026 is one of the world’s largest environmental competitions for secondary school students. It encourages young people across the globe to come together, ideate, and implement impactful sustainability solutions.

    This year’s edition introduces exciting new features, including multilingual submissions and integrated AI tools to support participants throughout the journey.


    Awards and Benefits

    Participants in the Earth Prize 2026 stand a chance to win generous awards that recognise both innovation and guidance:

    • Total Prize Pool: US $100,000
    • Regional Winners: Seven regional winners—Southeast Asia & Oceania, Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe, North America, Central & South America—will each receive $12,500 to implement their projects.
    • Mentor Awards: Three outstanding mentors will each receive $2,500 in recognition of their guidance and impact.

    Eligibility Criteria

    To take part in the Earth Prize 2026, applicants must meet the following conditions:

    • Participants must be born between 2006 and 2012 (13–19 years old).
    • Applicants must be in secondary education (students in tertiary institutions are not eligible).
    • Teams of up to 5 students may apply (teams can include students from different schools or classes).
    • Each team must have an adult Educator (teacher, programme coordinator, or parent for homeschoolers). Official proof may be required.
    • Projects previously submitted to the Earth Prize that won or were runners-up cannot be re-submitted.

    • Multilingual Submissions: Registration and submissions are now accepted in any language, ensuring inclusivity.
    • AI Support: An integrated AI tool will be available to help participants improve their ideas and submissions.
    • Exclusive Community Access: Registered participants will gain access to the Earth Prize Discord Community, providing exclusive content and mentorship support.
