    AIEA Internship Program: 2026 Annual Conference

    Are you passionate about international education and event management? The AIEA Internship Program: 2026 Annual Conference is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build your leadership skills, and network with global higher education leaders. Applications are now open for this prestigious programme, which will take place during the 2026 AIEA Annual Conference in Washington, DC.

    • Dates: February 15–19, 2026
    • Location: Marriott Marquis, Washington, DC

    Internship Role and Responsibilities

    Selected interns will play a critical role in the smooth running of the conference. Responsibilities include:

    • Recruiting and managing 40–50 local volunteers.
    • Overseeing volunteer logistics and assignments.
    • Assisting with registration, event set-up, speaker escorting, and overall flow coordination.
    • Monitoring over 100 sessions and workshops to ensure timing, room readiness, and speaker needs are met.
    • Providing audiovisual and technical support for presentations.
    • Taking on additional tasks as assigned, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

    Time Commitment

    • Pre-conference (Nov 2025 – Feb 2026): Participate in virtual meetings and support volunteer preparations.
    • On-site (Feb 15–19, 2026): Be available daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM (with scheduled breaks).
