Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the programme, applicants must:
- Be nationals of one of the eligible Latin American countries:
Belize, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, or Suriname. - Have at least 2 years of work or research experience in a conservation-related field.
- Be enrolled in, admitted to, or have applied to a master’s or PhD programme (locally, regionally, or abroad).
- Plan to begin studies no later than January 2027.
- Not be a WWF or GEF staff member/consultant (unless eligibility is confirmed by EFN).
- Past EFN fellowship recipients should confirm their eligibility with EFN before applying.

Applicants are encouraged to propose research that:
- Addresses pressing conservation challenges in their home country or region.
- Promotes innovative and applied solutions that bridge science, policy, and practice.
