IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme 2025

    Deadline: October 31, 2025

The IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme 2025 is now open for applications. This fellowship, established by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), is designed to inspire and support young women in pursuing Master’s degrees in nuclear-related fields, while also promoting gender equality and workforce diversity in the nuclear sector.

By offering financial assistance and limited internship opportunities facilitated by the IAEA, the fellowship helps bridge the gender gap and prepares the next generation of female leaders in nuclear science and technology.

    Fellowship Details

    • Application Deadline: 31 October 2025
    • Programme Host: International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
    • Level of Study: Master’s degree
    • Supported Fields:
      • Nuclear engineering
      • Nuclear physics and chemistry
      • Nuclear medicine

      • Isotopic techniques
      • Nuclear safety and security
      • Non-proliferation
      • Nuclear law

The IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme 2025 offers funding for women who wish to advance their knowledge and careers in these critical nuclear-related fields.

    Fellowship Benefits

    Successful applicants will receive:

    • Up to €20,000 for tuition costs.
    • Up to €20,000 for living expenses while completing their Master’s studies.

    Important Note on Other Scholarships

If selected fellows are beneficiaries of other scholarships, the IAEA may reduce or limit its contribution. For instance, the Agency may decide to cover tuition fees only while excluding living costs. Candidates must disclose all scholarships during the application process. Failure to do so could result in suspension of IAEA support.

    Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the fellowship, candidates must:

    • Be female students from IAEA Member States.
    • Be accepted or already enrolled in a fully accredited Master’s programme in a nuclear-related field.
    • Have outstanding academic credentials, typically a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above, or 75% average or higher.

    Required Application Documents

Applicants must prepare and submit the following documents:

    1. Completed online application form (in English).
    2. Copy of valid passport or national ID.
    3. Official acceptance/admission letter from a recognised university, clearly stating the field of study and duration of the programme.
    4. Statement of tuition fees or confirmation of study costs.
    5. Evidence of any additional scholarships (if applicable).
    6. Reference templates:
      • At least one referee submission is mandatory; a second is highly recommended.
      • Referees must submit their recommendations directly through the MSCFP application system.

    Why Apply?

The fellowship not only provides essential financial support but also positions recipients for professional opportunities within the IAEA and related nuclear organisations. By addressing the under-representation of women in nuclear fields, the MSCFP empowers talented female students to play a central role in advancing peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology.
