Applications are now open for the AIAS-WASEDA Visiting Fellowship 2025-2026, hosted by the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) at Aarhus University, Denmark.

    About the AIAS-WASEDA Visiting Fellowship 2025-2026

    The AIAS-WASEDA Visiting Fellowship is designed to bring outstanding researchers into the AIAS community for a period of collaborative research. Fellows will benefit from a stimulating academic setting, administrative support, and opportunities to interact with Aarhus University’s global research network.


    Fellowship Benefits

    Selected fellows will receive:

    • Dedicated office space with access to lecture halls and meeting rooms at AIAS.
    • Integration into an interdisciplinary research environment at Aarhus University.
    • Participation in academic and social events hosted by AIAS.
    • Administrative support for organising seminars, conferences, or workshops.
    • Travel costs (one return flight to Aarhus), subject to approval.
    • Assistance with relocation arrangements to Denmark.

    Eligibility Criteria

    To be eligible for the AIAS-WASEDA Visiting Fellowship 2025-2026, applicants must:

    • Hold a PhD with at least two years of postdoctoral research experience by the application deadline.
    • Have an active collaboration or established contact with a researcher or research community at Aarhus University.
    • Be able to provide their own salary support (the fellowship does not include a stipend).
    • Demonstrate an interdisciplinary approach and openness to collaboration.

    Application Requirements

    Applicants are required to submit the following documents:

    1. A letter of motivation (maximum 2 pages).
    2. A letter of support from a contact at Aarhus University.
    3. A CV (up to 5 pages, including a selected list of publications).
    4. A copy of the PhD diploma.
    5. Proposed dates for the fellowship period (start and end).
