    The EJN Communicators’ Workshop on Renewable Energy 2025 in Mumbai, India is now open for applications. Organised by Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN), this important national-level workshop will bring together media communicators from across the country to strengthen reporting on renewable energy.

    Taking place from 16–18 October 2025, the event will be hosted in Mumbai, India, and will provide participants with practical tools, insights, and networking opportunities to better cover renewable energy stories.


    About the Workshop

    The EJN Communicators’ Workshop on Renewable Energy 2025 is designed to support Indian journalists and communicators who are committed to improving the quality of reporting on renewable energy, the environment, science, and related fields.

    This is a national-level programme, welcoming applications from communicators across India. However, preference will be given to those from Bihar, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh.

    EJN will cover travel, accommodation, and meals for all selected participants, ensuring accessibility for talented communicators from diverse regions.


    Workshop Objectives

    Participants will:

    • Build knowledge on renewable energy and related issues.
    • Gain exposure to emerging trends and innovations in clean energy.
    • Enhance storytelling skills for both traditional and digital media.
    • Join a growing network of communicators focused on energy and climate reporting.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants must:

    • Be a communicator working with print, online, radio, or television media in India.
    • Commit to attending the full three-day programme.
    • Have demonstrated experience in at least one of the following beats: energy, environment, business, or science.
    • Be fluent in English.
    • Show clear interest in renewable energy reporting.
    • Agree to allow organisers to republish outputs produced from the workshop.
