    The Women in Digital Business (WiDB) Training of Trainers at AM-Steve House Program 2025 is now open for applications. This prestigious initiative offers trainers, business mentors, and entrepreneur support professionals a unique chance to gain global certification and contribute to the digital empowerment of women entrepreneurs across Africa.

    Backed by AM-Steve House, the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITC-ILO), and Microsoft Philanthropies, the programme forms part of a three-year pilot aimed at equipping 50,000 women entrepreneurs with the skills and tools needed to succeed in today’s digital economy.


    About the WiDB Training of Trainers Program

    The WiDB Training of Trainers (ToT) is designed to prepare 500 skilled trainers who will, in turn, deliver the WiDB curriculum to thousands of women entrepreneurs across Africa. Trainers selected for this programme will benefit from world-class certification, financial support, and access to a robust ecosystem of entrepreneurial resources.


    Who Should Apply?

    The programme is open to a wide range of professionals, including:

    • Trainers and facilitators
    • Business Development Service Providers (BDSPs)
    • Entrepreneur Support Organisations (ESOs)
    • Business mentors
    • Micro-SME coaches
    • Experienced entrepreneurs with proven training backgrounds

    Benefits of the Program

    Successful applicants to the Women in Digital Business (WiDB) Training of Trainers at AM-Steve House Program 2025 will receive:

    • Full Scholarship: All programme costs covered.
    • Global Certification: ILO WiDB Trainer Certificate, empowering trainers to deliver the curriculum independently and earn training fees.
    • Paid Training Opportunities: Certified trainers become part of the official WiDB Trainer Pool and are remunerated for delivering trainings.
    • Expert Support: Ongoing mentoring and supervision from ILO-certified WiDB Lead Trainers during the micro-teaching phase.
    • Expanded Impact: Access to digital tools, resources, and partnerships to scale training efforts across Africa.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants must:

    • Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (HND or equivalent professional certification/licence is acceptable).
    • Have experience as an entrepreneur or in training/coaching entrepreneurs.
    • Be actively working with entrepreneurs in any of Africa’s 54 countries.
    • Be fluent in English (training will be conducted in English; while some content exists in French, Portuguese, and Arabic, ToT sessions will only be in English).
    • Demonstrate the ability to recruit and train at least 15 women entrepreneurs within six weeks.
    • Provide evidence of prior training or coaching experience (training portfolio).

    Preference will be given to:

    • Women applicants.
    • Trainers with BDSP licences or equivalent certifications.
    • Organisations with proven track records of supporting entrepreneurs.

    Application Requirements

    To apply, candidates must prepare and submit:

    • A current CV or résumé.
    • A portfolio of training experience (certifications, evidence of mentorship, or facilitation history).
    • A statement of readiness to recruit and train at least 15 women within the six-week training period.
    • A motivation statement (200–500 words) outlining goals, experience, and commitment.
