    The UN Women Care and Climate Entrepreneurship Accelerator 2025 is now open for applications, offering up to $100,000 in funding to women-led enterprises across Asia-Pacific. Backed by the Visa Foundation in partnership with UN Women, the programme aims to strengthen women entrepreneurs working at the intersection of the care economy and the green economy.

    This opportunity is designed to support impactful businesses that not only drive growth but also mainstream gender inclusivity and climate responsiveness.


    About the UN Women Care and Climate Entrepreneurship Accelerator 2025

    The accelerator is part of UN Women’s larger initiative to empower women entrepreneurs by improving access to resources, capital, and global networks. By supporting businesses in the care and climate sectors, the programme envisions the creation or improvement of over 50,000 livelihoods across Asia-Pacific and Latin America.


    Benefits of the Accelerator

    Successful applicants will receive a grant between $5,000 and $100,000 and high-level tailored support covering six core areas:

    1. Strategy
      • Refine business models.
      • Improve revenues and expand to new markets.
      • Strengthen go-to-market plans.
    2. Operations
      • Enhance product and service offerings.
      • Optimise costs and streamline processes.
    3. Inclusive Business Models
      • Integrate gender-responsive strategies.
      • Build inclusive practices into business models.
    4. Financial Readiness
      • Identify capital needs.
      • Develop investor materials (pitch decks, financial models, term sheets).
      • Craft fundraising milestones and pitch to selected investors.
    5. Networking
      • Access global networks of funders and industry leaders.
      • Join the Network of Inclusive Care Entrepreneurs (NICE).
      • Participate in two in-person learning and networking events.
    6. Gender Responsiveness
      • Mainstream gender across workforce, supply chain, products, and services.
      • Address structural inequalities in business operations.

    Programme Duration and Time Commitment

    • Start Date: September 2025
    • Phase 1: At least 2 hours per week for 6 months of high-touch support.
    • Phase 2: 1 hour per week in the following period for continued growth support.

    Eligibility Criteria

    To qualify for the UN Women Care and Climate Entrepreneurship Accelerator 2025, applicants must:

    • Be a registered for-profit enterprise operating in South Asia or Southeast Asia.
    • Be women-led or have a gender-diverse founding team.
    • Have been operational for at least 2 years.
    • Demonstrate product–market fit and be generating revenue.
    • Sign on to the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs).
    • Commit, in principle, to mainstreaming gender in business operations.

    • Deadline to Apply: August 31, 2025

    Applicants are strongly encouraged to prepare in advance to ensure their submission is well-aligned with the programme’s requirements.
