About the Leading St. Louis Scholarship

The Leading St. Louis Scholarship is designed exclusively for individuals living and making a tangible difference in the St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan area. Through this programme, selected scholars will attend the One Young World Summit—a premier global forum that brings together young leaders, activists, entrepreneurs, and innovators from over 190 countries to address the most pressing challenges of our time.

The 2025 Summit will take place from 3–6 November 2025 in Munich, Germany. Scholarship recipients will also arrive a day earlier on 2 November to settle in before the event begins.


What the Scholarship Covers

Successful applicants will receive a comprehensive funding package that covers:

  • Full access to all sessions and networking events at the One Young World Summit 2025
  • Shared hotel accommodation in Munich from 2–6 November 2025
  • Full catering during the Summit, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Ground transport between accommodation and the Summit venue
  • Round-trip travel to and from Munich, Germany

Important Note: Visa application fees and any travel related to obtaining a visa are not covered and must be arranged and paid for by the recipient.


Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Leading St. Louis Scholarship, you must:

  • Live and actively contribute to the St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan area
  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be aged 18–30 at the time of the Summit (exceptional candidates over 30 may also be considered)
  • Hold a valid passport
  • Demonstrate:
    • Strong leadership capability
    • Proven social impact in St. Louis
    • Alignment with One Young World’s values of sustainability, cross-cultural collaboration, and long-term community benefit
    • A clear vision for how attending the Summit will help amplify your work
    • Excellent communication skills to represent St. Louis effectively on an international platform

  • Summit Dates: 3–6 November 2025 (arrival on 2 November)
  • Application Deadline: 4 September 2025

Applicants are encouraged to apply early to allow sufficient time for passport and visa arrangements.
