    Are you passionate about digital literacy, gender equality, and empowering African youth—especially women and girls—in education and entrepreneurship? The African Union CIEFFA Online Capacity Building Training 2025 is now accepting applications! This fully funded, one-month training programme offers youth across Africa and the diaspora an opportunity to gain critical digital, financial, and entrepreneurial skills.

    This post walks you through everything you need to know about the African Union CIEFFA Online Capacity Building Training 2025—from eligibility to benefits, deadlines, and how to apply.


    About the Training Programme

    The African Union’s International Centre for Girls and Women’s Education in Africa (AU CIEFFA), in partnership with ImpactHER, is organising the 2025 Online Capacity Building Training under the theme:

    “#AfricaEducatesHer – Digital Skills for All: Bridging the Gender Gap in STEAM, Financial Literacy, and Entrepreneurship”

    This dynamic, fully virtual training will take place in monthly cohorts starting in September 2025, offering young African leaders foundational knowledge and practical skills in:

    • STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics)
    • Digital literacy
    • Financial literacy
    • Entrepreneurship
    • Gender-responsive education

    Who Should Apply?

    The programme is open to young African men and women (both on the continent and in the diaspora) who:

    • Are citizens of an African Union Member State
    • Have a reliable internet connection and device (smartphone, tablet, computer)
    • Show a commitment to advancing girls’ and women’s education
    • Are fluent in English, French, or Portuguese
    • Are motivated to learn about gender equality, digital tools, and entrepreneurship

    Training Format & Timeline

    • Programme Kickoff: September 2025
    • Duration: One month per cohort
    • Mode: 100% Online
    • Deadline to Apply: August 16, 2025

    Each participant will join a structured virtual cohort to explore thematic modules, engage in collaborative learning, and develop leadership capacity around digital education and economic empowerment.
