About the GCA “My Adaptation Solution” Video Competition 2025
The GCA “My Adaptation Solution” Video Competition 2025 aims to spotlight innovative adaptation solutions developed or implemented by young people in response to the impacts of climate change. It is part of the broader Youth Climate Adaptation Action Day scheduled for October 12, 2025 — a day uniting youth from over 100 countries in climate action aligned with Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
The theme for this year’s competition is:
“The heat is on — youth powering adaptation solutions through Nature-based Solutions, Water, Education & Advocacy, and Climate‑Resilient Agriculture.”
Video Guidelines and Requirements
Your video submission should:
- Be 60 seconds or less
- Be filmed vertically and in MP4 format
- Clearly state your Name, Country, the Climate Impacts faced, and your Adaptation Solution
- End with the phrase:
“The heat is on, and we’re the adaptation solutions.”
Additional requirements:
- If you’re using AI tools or AI-generated visuals, clearly mention this.
- If you’re under 18, you must submit documented parental/guardian consent.
