    Deadline: August 15, 2025

Samsung South Africa, in collaboration with the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC), has officially opened applications for the Samsung EEIP Enterprise Development Programme 2025. This transformative initiative aims to empower black-owned ICT and electronics repair enterprises with funding, business development support, and access to Samsung’s service network. If you are a black South African entrepreneur running a qualifying business, this is your chance to scale up with the backing of a global technology leader.

About the Samsung EEIP Enterprise Development Programme 2025

Launched on 16 July 2025, the Samsung EEIP Enterprise Development Programme 2025 is a core part of Samsung’s Equity Equivalent Investment Programme (EEIP) — a R280-million investment into South Africa’s black economic empowerment ecosystem. This year marks the third edition of the enterprise development component under the EEIP, which continues to provide catalytic support to businesses in the consumer electronics and ICT sectors.

The programme is specifically designed to enable growth, drive job creation, and integrate eligible small businesses into Samsung’s service and supply value chains.

    What’s on Offer?

    Successful applicants will receive:

    • Grant funding to strengthen and scale operations
    • Specialist business development and mentorship support
    • Integration into Samsung’s service-repair network, including accreditation as official service centres
    • Participation in the Samsung Enterprise Development Bootcamp, culminating in a “Pitch & Polish” investment showcase event in October 2025

This support package is aimed at improving sustainability, profitability, and long-term impact for black-owned enterprises.

    Who is Eligible?

To qualify for the Samsung EEIP Enterprise Development Programme 2025, your enterprise must:

    • Be black-owned (minimum 51%) and registered in South Africa
    • Have an annual turnover of R50 million or less
    • Be an Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME) or Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE)
    • Operate within the ICT or consumer electronics repair sectors
    • Have at least 1 year of relevant industry experience

Applicants must also be in good standing with SARS and have the necessary compliance documentation (e.g., B-BBEE certificate, tax clearance, company registration documents).

    Key Dates to Remember

    • Application Launch: 16 July 2025
    • Application Deadline: 15 August 2025
    • Enterprise Development Bootcamp: Held during Q3 2025
    • Final Pitch Event: October 2025

Shortlisted enterprises will be contacted directly by Samsung for the next stages, including participation in the bootcamp.

    The Impact So Far

Since its inception in 2019, Samsung’s EEIP has:

    • Supported multiple ICT and e-waste enterprises
    • Enabled new job creation and skills development
    • Built inclusive service and software ecosystems with tangible economic impact

Samsung continues to partner with organisations like Ocule IT to deliver real-world business training and incubation to selected participants.

    How to Apply

Interested enterprises should visit the Samsung EEIP application portal to submit their details and upload the necessary documents.

    Final Notes

Participation in the programme is full-time and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on investment-readiness and operational excellence. If your enterprise is ready to grow and make an impact, the Samsung EEIP Enterprise Development Programme 2025 could be the ideal platform to elevate your journey.
