    Are you a passionate young changemaker between the ages of 18 and 35, working towards a more sustainable and inclusive global food system? The World Food Forum (WFF) Youth Representatives Programme 2025 is now open for applications! This is your opportunity to participate in global policy discussions, influence agrifood transformation, and represent youth voices at the international level.

    The World Food Forum (WFF) Youth Representatives Programme 2025 offers a prestigious platform for youth leaders to drive impactful change in agrifood systems by engaging with the FAO’s flagship WFF Youth Assembly and related global processes.


    About the Programme

    The WFF Youth Representatives Programme brings together dynamic and motivated youth leaders from around the world to shape policy and advocacy around food systems. Through the WFF Youth Assembly, youth representatives collaborate on regional and thematic consultations and co-develop global recommendations aimed at transforming agrifood systems.

    What Youth Representatives Will Do:

    • Engage in regional and thematic consultations (virtually and in person)
    • Participate in the WFF flagship event in Rome and online (October 10–17, 2025)
    • Contribute to drafting youth policy recommendations and advocacy statements
    • Support local action through WFF National Youth Chapters
    • Represent youth perspectives in FAO-led dialogues throughout a 12-month term

    Eligibility Criteria

    To be considered for the WFF Youth Representatives Programme 2025, applicants must:

    • Be aged between 18 and 35 at the time of participation
    • Be connected to a youth network or organisation focused on agriculture, environment, climate change, Indigenous Peoples, food justice, youth leadership, or student activism
    • Show commitment to sustainable food systems and inclusive governance
    • Be available for online and/or in-person engagements throughout the year

    Preferred candidates include individuals from underrepresented or marginalised groups, including young women, Indigenous Peoples, and rural youth.


    Time Commitment and Responsibilities

    Youth Representatives must:

    • Participate in at least two regional and two thematic consultations
    • Submit post-consultation reflections
    • Engage actively in policy development, review processes, and feedback sessions
    • Collaborate with fellow youth delegates and contribute to long-term food systems advocacy

    Each cohort serves for one year. There are two recruitment cycles per year, and alumni may reapply for future terms.
