What Is the Karibu New Realities Grant (Africa Grant)?
The Karibu New Realities Grant (Africa Grant) is a bold initiative from the Karibu Foundation, designed to support African-led change-makers who are creating new, justice-centred realities across the continent. Following a successful three-year pilot, the programme was formally launched in 2025 to empower grassroots collectives, cooperatives, movements, and associations that are reimagining the future through transformative, systemic, and non-violent actions.
This grant is especially tailored to support underrepresented, community-rooted actors engaged in what Karibu calls “constructive troublemaking” — addressing structural injustice with creativity and resilience.
