    Deadline: July 11, 2025

Are you a young changemaker working to uplift women’s or youth voices in your community? The DW Akademie SparkChange Program 2025 is now open for applications! This unique initiative offers mentorship and incubation support to grassroots leaders in Uganda and Tanzania, with a focus on amplifying the civic, social, and political participation of underrepresented voices—especially women and youth—in rural and peri-urban communities.

About the DW Akademie SparkChange Program 2025

The DW Akademie SparkChange Program 2025 is an impact-driven initiative by Germany’s international media development organization, DW Akademie. This program provides selected participants with:

    • Mentorship
    • Tailored incubation support
    • Networking opportunities
    • Potential access to wider DW Akademie platforms and resources

Whether you run a small grassroots initiative or a bold campaign to elevate marginalized voices, SparkChange is looking for innovative ideas that strengthen local dialogue, civic engagement, and decision-making inclusion for youth and women.
