    This prestigious award highlights the outstanding efforts of young individuals working tirelessly to protect endangered wildlife and ecosystems. Whether you’re from Africa, Asia, Europe, or beyond, the Future for Nature Awards 2026 could be your next big leap forward.


    About the Future for Nature Awards

    The Future for Nature (FFN) Foundation annually awards three young nature conservationists, aged between 18 and 35, for their achievements in protecting wild species. This highly competitive award is not only a cash grant, but also a platform to amplify the winners’ voices, promote their work, and integrate them into an international conservation community.

    Award recipients will be honored at a high-profile event in May 2026 at the Royal Burgers’ Zoo, Arnhem, Netherlands. Travel and accommodation are fully covered by the organizers.


    What the Winners Receive

    Each of the three winners of the Future for Nature Awards 2026 will receive:

    • €50,000 grant for their conservation work
    • Travel and accommodation costs to attend the awards ceremony in Arnhem
    • Global recognition and visibility for their work

    Eligibility Criteria

    To be considered for the Future for Nature Awards 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Age: You must be born between 31 May 1991 and 31 August 2007
    • Type of Application: Individuals only (no groups or organizations)
    • Proven Impact: Your work must show tangible, measurable, and lasting results in the conservation of one or more wild species
    • Language: You must be proficient in written and spoken English
    • Personal Qualities: Demonstrated leadership, innovation, integrity, and a strong commitment to continued conservation efforts
    • Previous Applicants: If you applied for the 2025 award, you must skip one year before reapplying – unless 2026 is your final year of eligibility due to age

    Application Guidelines

    • Applications must reflect actual ongoing conservation work — proposals or planned projects are not eligible
    • Submissions should be authored by the applicant in their own words (AI writing tools may assist, but not dominate)
    • Shortlisted candidates (typically 6–12) may be asked for supplementary materials such as images, videos, and reference letters
