    Yale Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship 2026

    The Yale Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship 2026 is now accepting applications from passionate climate and clean energy professionals across the Global South. This fully funded, five-month hybrid fellowship offers mid-career leaders the chance to grow their expertise, expand global networks, and influence policy conversations—through two in-person residencies at Yale University (USA) and OECD/IEA in Paris.

    About the Yale Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship 2026

    The Yale Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship 2026 is designed for early- to mid-career professionals (5–10 years’ experience) from the Global South working in climate, clean energy, and related sectors. Hosted by the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs and the International Leadership Center, the program equips fellows to lead at the intersection of science, economics, politics, and social justice.

    Fellowship Components:

    • In-Person Orientation at Yale: February 16–20, 2026
    • Remote Learning Journeys: March–June 2026
    • Closing Week in Paris: June 15–19, 2026

    Fellows will participate in immersive, hands-on sessions with climate leaders, policymakers, and academic experts. All travel, lodging, local transfers, and per diems are fully funded.


    Eligibility Criteria

    To be considered for the Yale Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship 2026, applicants must:

    • Be a citizen and resident of a Global South country (Africa, Asia, the Middle East, or Latin America/Caribbean)
    • Be 5–10 years into their professional career
    • Have demonstrated leadership potential and impact in the climate or clean energy field
    • Possess full professional fluency in English
    • Be available for both in-person sessions (Yale and Paris)

    • A resume or CV (maximum 3 pages)
    • A 600-word personal statement
    • A 1–2-minute video introduction (optional but encouraged)
    • One letter of recommendation
